When are you going to die?

Scarry Stuff Just came across a website which claims to calculate the day you’ll die. Obviously it is a silly joke but…never say never… :)

Actually “When am I going to die?” is quite an interesting question. I wonder if people will know when it’s the last day of their life…how would that be? would you preffer to know in order to sort out everything you ever wanted? would that make life more precious? Tons of other questions…

Now let’s go back to the site in cause and let’s check the “Death Meter:) It seems that my “Armageddon Day” is… October, 14, 2055 ! Another 48 years…quite a lot, isn’t it? Plenty time to write a few more reviews so watch your back ! :)

There is also a note on the site saying: “This is just for entertainment and we are strongly against anyone taking serious actions based on the results of the death meter!” Well, this is what I call a H.E.L.L. of entertainment :)

Ok, let’s have some fun now! Please check your “big day” and post a comment with your results. Let’s see who’s getting closer! :) (Take it easy, please…or take some Valium first, you know…just in case :) )

Abducted by Libdronians

Libdronians are not aliens. They are not fishes, plants or trees… In fact they are library drones , a tiny tribe of homo sapiens, living on the other side of The Thin Red Line . A few days back I’ve been voluntarly abducted (oh, really? :) ) by Alan, the drone emperor, and “one of the oodles of bears in the Pacific Northwest”.
Once I get there I realised in no time why the drones are keep coming back to their nest, the libdrone blog. If reading a book is a necessity for any educated person, reading a book review is more important as it helps to decide what book to read. The layout, the colours, makes from Libdronia a pleasant place to satisfy your book-ish needs.

From “Monday Muddling” to “Guns, Friends and Fears” , everything it’s “Sweet, Spicy and Saucy” no matter how hard I tried to find a little nasty thing to comment. The posts are friendly, easy and well written and that’s not a compliment by the way… The Blogosphere should be proud to have this blog around (well, that’s a compliment! :) )

This was a happy and lucky abduction as I just found a new blog to visit from time to time. I’ve left Libdronia, but not before checking the Alexa rankings…hmm…sad question… why does the good blogs get always less traffic than the crappy ones?

Well done, Alan! Keep up the good work!

A lame excuse

Lame News To get the latest Lame News you’ll need to be a healthy person otherways your heart will crack straight away. Funny little stories from “Holy Smokes…” to “The Nuclear(powered) Family” you’ll find out how the Poles saw the silhouette of Pope John Paul II in a bonfire and how bionic love will save the planet.

You’ll also need your swimsuit to get the Lame News. You’ll definately need to swim a long way through the adsense and affiliate sea in order to find the best posts out there. Take it this way: Banner on top, adsense under RSS, adsense again under Labels, affiliate crap, more adsense and then more affiliate crap. After five minutes of scrolling down, I finally found the “Contact” form, guess where? just above the footer! Footer? Don’t start me :) … obviously another adsense banner in the footer and the Boob Tube huge screen with little videos (affiliate?)

I wonder if Lame News is not just a lame excuse to promote adsense and affiliate crap? I hope not… the posts are funny and that would be a shame…

Here is the trophy for Lame News!

Click on it! It’s only a picture! :)

The Story of Stories-2-tell

Stories 2 (to/two) tell “No trees were killed in the making of this blog. However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced”.

This is how the story of Stories-2-tell begins… Don’t know about the trees or electrons but some of my neurons were terribly inconvenienced… You see…I hate 2′s, 1′s, 4′s, u’s, gr8′s and all this crap…it might be right for the story of a slang-ster, who knows… I never understood why people would replace letters with numbers, it always proves a lack of creativity – instead of coming with something special, let’s throw a 1, 2 or 4! By the way…if you can’t spell FUN, can you spell 2 (not two or to) instead? Words are to be spelled and misspelled sometimes, this is the beauty of the language. Numbers – just strictly mathematical, no poetry, no meanings…

The story of “2-tell” is simple… Between Your Friday Smile and a Pre-school Test for You, a lady monkey hangs around with a box of Godiva Chocolates…yummy! What do I have to do to get one too? :) Funny little stories inspired from real life is that I like to read (well, sometimes)…and then I saw the “Recipro-Links”…not less than 28!!! That makes the blog a sort of sad link farm and “Thinking Back“, all the charm of those little stories seems to disappear .

100 things about me (again numbers? – why not one hundred?) is a must read for every visitor. Why? Because it tells you what do you need to know about the owner in 15 things, what you don’t need to know in another 15 and what you are not interested to know in the rest of 70. It’s like a “Marry me”- “To do – to have -to get” list…pointless to say the owner, she’s already married and you’ll only get a piece of virtual Godiva chocolate for your efforts…

Just clicked on the “Close” button with the same question in mind… Can you spell 2?

SEO Cake

SEO Cake Nusuni.com is a “SEO and blogging resource for all”. Fine. Wait, really? Then what the hell is a cake doing in there? It’s like JohnChow writing on his blog about pregnant women or Problogger writing about Ice Age… Something stinks around and it’s not the cake… Let’s check the SEO part and keep the cake for later…
Hats off to this guy! One of the most informative blogs I ever visited(well, except the cake thing)! I really enjoyed The four dimensions of a link portofolio, and do you know why? because it is a guest post written by someone else :) ! Hmmm…closer look…I think I will retract the “Hats off”. There are about 18 categories, to many for my patience…looks like this guy is a kind of Dr.Who – I know this, and this, and that, and this as well… Some miscellaneous stuff made me smile. Especially this one which is a good and funny read.

Ok, I’m going straight to the cake post now, it might be about cream optimization, who knows? :)Blogs are like cakes” he said. No s**t, how come? “My whole point with this article is that a cake that is missing a part or contains some horrible flavor won’t be as popular as a cake with perfect frosting, perfect cake mixture, etc. A blog layout that has fluffy bunnies running all over it or contentz thatz iz writ lik thes simply won’t be as popular as a blog that has a good layout and good content. The concept is pretty much the same, but it works for two completely different items.” Oh, really? Then I can say blogs are like flowers, or sky, or dinosaurs, or anything else…I’m sure I’ll find some good points… I’ll tell you what…”A blog (a portmanteau of web log) is a website where entries are written in chronological order and commonly displayed in reverse chronological order. “Blog” can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.” God bless Wikipedia for that. Amen!

Let’s check the “About” page…I’m sure it will be something like…”Hey, I’m Jeremy and I love baking cakes while I do link building!” Wrong. I’m a bit dissapointed, it’s not like that, but hey, this is the best page of the blog! Let me explain…instead of the classic stuff which everyone writes in there, Jeremy choosed to answer his own questions pretending that someone else asked all those things! :) ) How convenient, isn’t it?

Leaving the jokes aside (that’s why I’m here, right?) Jeremy’s blog is one of the most informative “cakes” I ever tasted and I would recommend you to taste a bit too… And now let’s give Jeremy a trophy for his outstanding work -the winner always gets something, right?… ladies and gents, The Golden Cake goes to… :)
